Truly

We want God to be known on His terms, for who He is. We do that through Christ-Centered Preaching and Worship.
(Luke 24:25-27)

Preaching:

At Rock Prairie, we practice Gospel-centered expository preaching, meaning we make the meaning of the text the meaning of the sermon, understood through the lens of the gospel. We believe that all scripture is inspired, inerrant, and authoritative, and we want to humbly submit our lives to God’s Word.

2 Timothy 4:2: Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

Worship:

We understand from Scripture that we are commanded to worship the Lord, and rightfully so because He is worthy of it! One of the ways we accomplish this as a church is by singing praises together that lift up the Name of Jesus. We believe this serves two purposes: first it exalts the Lord above ourselves and and brings the honor that is due Him, and second it encourages our fellow believers as we experience each other’s faith in action.

Psalm 29:1-2 Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,
      ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
      worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.
