The mission of the local church is to make disciples of all nations. We do that through God-exalting missions, evangelism, and service. (Matt 28:19-20).

Missions:

We believe that all of scripture–from Genesis to Revelation–reveals the certainty of God’s plan to redeem people from every nation, tribe and tongue. Every believer has a role to play in fulfilling the Great Commission. We are committed to training and sending out our members in a manner worthy of God, and supporting those who have gone out in order to reach the nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Missions Convictions

Becoming a Missionary

Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.’

Evangelism:

We believe God has placed our church where he has for a reason, to reach Tipton County with the life-changing power of the gospel. Our lives should overflow with gratitude for the gospel, and that gratitude should manifest itself in a passion for seeing others experience the same transformation in Christ that we have experienced. This passion is called Evangelism, and it only happens when we share the gospel with those God has placed around us, trusting that God is the one who ultimately changes hearts.

Learn How to Share Your Faith

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Service:

The body of Christ is a unified diversity: unified under the banner of the gospel, with a diverse set of gifts. Every believer has a spiritual gift. Those gifts are given to build up the body and glorify God. To neglect to use your gift is to deny God the glory he is due for giving the gift. The local church is the avenue God gives to learn and grow in our gifts. We want to use our gifts to serve the body of Christ, the local community, and the nations.

Serving at Rock Prairie

1 Peter 4:10-11 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another; as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies–in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.
